Clothe a Child seeks to address clothing needs of economically disadvantaged children through partnerships with Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper & Celina ISDs, churches, area businesses and Kohl’s. Children in grades Kindergarten thru 8th grade are identified by the Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper & Celina School Districts.
Clothe a Child will occur on THREE Saturdays this year! Mark your calendar for our 2013 Clothe a Child events that will be held at KOHL's in Frisco at 6AM on Saturday, October 5th for children in Frisco ISD, Saturday, October 12 for children in Frisco, Prosper and Celina ISDs and Saturday, October 26th for children in Little Elm ISDs.
For 2013, in partnership with KOHL's and several Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper and Celina churches, Clothe a Child has set a goal of clothing 3,000 children. Each child is identified by the Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper & Celina ISDs as one who would benefit from this program. At least 2000 volunteers are needed to make these three events this year a success.
Children and their families will come to KOHL's in Frisco early one of these Saturday mornings in October where each child will be given a voucher for $100 to be used towards clothing items. Each family is matched with volunteer(s) to assist in shopping. It requires only a few hours on one or more Saturday mornings to share this time with the children and their families. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age or older please, since we are asking them to pair up with families and their children.
